Here is my weekend update. Outside the house, the construction crew has built a gate providing access under the deck. We may not use that space, or we may store boats there in the winter. You can see the gate (closed) in this picture. Once the ground thaws, we install something under the gate going into the ground to keep critters out.

The siding on river side of the house is almost finished. Here is what it currently looks like. There is still work to do on the porch, however.

Inside the house, the electricians have been busy. They have finished wiring the second subpanel in the utility room. I think only the garage panel needs to be finished.

They have also started to install the outlets. At this point only a few outlets are in place, but I assume this work will continue next week. Here is a row of outlets in the second floor kitchenette area.

The electricians have also been hanging LED light bulbs in all the light fixtures. I assume for testing purposes, since that is not the lighting we specified and bought. Here is the ceiling of the second floor family room where you can see the hanging lights.

Finally, here is a picture of the wiring in the wall between the pantry and the kitchen. The bundles of red and white wires are low voltage for the safety features (e.g. smoke detectors). The run from the utility room to different places on the first and second floor.

Well, that’s my weekend update. There is no Wednesday meeting next week so the next update will be in a week (unless I get some pictures from the builder). One more week of electrical work before EMF testing.
